Contacted Ariel Plumbers and Gas Fitters about replacing our aging Freeloader. Arranged with Greg who took a look at what I had already. Advised Greg that we wanted an instant hot water system and Rinnai 26 he gave a competitive quote for removal and replacement with Rinnai. Easy to arrange and good contact and completed the work in no time, old boiler taken away so no mess. He also tightened up a tap in our kitchen whilst here!
These guys I highly recommend and will use again for any plumbing or gas work in the future !

Warning gas will run out soon met with scorn by industry

The plumbing and gas fitting industry is pouring scorn on claims that gas will run out soon in New Zealand and people need to think twice before buying gas-fired appliances.

The argument began when Consumer New Zealand warned that New Zealand natural gas reserves were forecast to last for only 10 years.

It suggested people should take this into account when buying gas heaters.

But the danger remains for many unknowing DIYers who may out themselves at risk financially or in a health and safety way.

In February, Ardern was featured in a newspaper article where she volunteered she and her partner had successfully installed a new toilet in their Auckland home "without flooding the place". Only problem was, such work must, by law, be carried out by a registered plumber.
